Cylindrical LMFP Cell

LMFP is a new, higher nominal voltage variation of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) with rising popularity. Similar in structure to LFP, the iron and the manganese phosphate components each produce a flat voltage plateau of ~3.4V and ~4.0V, respectively, which lifts its nominal voltage to 3.7V vs. Li compared to just ~3.2V for LFP. LMFP has a reduced specific capacity compared to LFP, but is balanced by the higher voltage of LMFP to produce similar energy density. However, since the material’s voltage window is similar to NMC-based and cobalt oxide cathodes, LMFP is a more suitable direct replacement of those cells as a low cost, cobalt or nickel-free alterative.

Cylindrical Sodium Ion Cell

Sodium-ion batteries leverage earth-abundant materials to deliver distinct performance advantages. Their chemistry enables safe transport at 0V state-of-charge, eliminating lithium-ion shipping restrictions. They exhibit superior stability under thermal stress, >85% capacity at -30°C, outperforming most lithium chemistries in extreme cold. Cycle life exceeds 10,000 cycles. The technology avoids critical materials like lithium/cobalt while achieving competitive energy densities. These characteristics make them viable for cold-climate mobility, renewable energy storage, and backup power systems requiring intrinsic safety.
